Tickets for excursions to Seville, Cordoba and Granada can be purchased in practically every travel agency and hotel along the Costa del Sol. These are generally very well organised trips giving the visitor a fascinating insight into the history of the area.

The provincial trips that we talk about here however, are for return visitors or residents who already know the Costa del Sol but want something more adventurous than an organised tour … so …

• … the first day out is to our capital city, Malaga, which is up for the European Capital of Culture award and has been undergoing a facelift, prettying up its 18th century facades and which is now, as a result, looking rather lovely !

• … the following trips are up in the north of Malaga province around the old town of Antequera which is famous for its´ over abundance of churches.

• … then, nearer to home again we’ll be going on a white village tour with a difference !

• ... and we’ll round off with an excursion to Doñana National Park, a yet-to-be-discovered gem for most visitors to the Costadelsol.
